Many families have traditions during Thanksgiving of reflecting on the year that has nearly come to completion. Conversations are usually jovial, and facial expressions are timeless, as each member of the gathering details their accomplishments, journeys, and excitements of the last eleven months. The laughter and smiles that fill the home are a wonderful reminder of all of the great blessings that have been gifted to us all. I can only imagine how vastly different those dialogues will be this holiday season. To say that 2020 has been a chapter of history that has been written very differently is a great understatement, with each individuals reason for why being equally different.
While I could spend hours detailing all of the things that have put a negative autograph in the guestbook of 2020 I feel that writing of thankfulness is far more appealing and appropriate, given the holiday that we now prepare to celebrate.
“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life." Sarah Ban Breathnack
I am thankful that my complacency towards life has been altered. The things that I once took for granted have been magnified now as things that are not guaranteed. Things that were once expected are now viewed as things that could vanish in an instant.
I am thankful for the people around me (even the ones that seem difficult at times.) At the beginning of the year it was believed that the ones closest to you would always be there. That you would see the new ones being welcomed into the world and say goodbye to those leaving the mortal world. That you would have the choice to gather with friends and family at any time. Encounters that were once just a routine have now become encounters that are extraordinary.
I am thankful for our business. When I read of the businesses and employees that have had their hard work disappear in the blink of an eye I can only give abundant thanks that our business hasn't suffered the same fate.
Each day that we keep our trucks on the road I am more thankful than the day before.
I am thankful for those people that have poured into my life through each trial and tribulation that has entered this season of life.
I am thankful for what today has awarded me.
I am thankful that tomorrow is a new day.
I am thankful for my unwavering faith, and those who strengthen my faith daily.
I am thankful for my family.
I am thankful for my friends.
I am thankful for you, whomever you are, wherever you are, however you are, I am thankful for you.
From All Of Us At Cole Heating and Cooling Services LLC, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
